Abstract: As potential pozzolanic materials, the tailings used as cement admixture have attracted considerable attention in recent years. This paper briefly reviewed potential pozzolanic reactivity of tailings by activating and different types of tailings used in cement admixture, and analyzed the characteristics and the applications of different types of tailings, and pointed out that the tailings as cement admixture is an important way of comprehensive utilization of tailings.
