      Bulletin of the Chinese Ceramic Society, a monthly journal publishing peer-reviewed research in the field of inorganic non-metallic materials in China, was started in 1982. The journal is co-sponsored by the Chinese Ceramic Society and Research Institute of Synthetic Crystals Co., Ltd., and is under supervision of China Association for Science and Technology.   


      Bulletin of the Chinese Ceramic Societyis rated Peking University Library Chinese Core Journal and CITIC Technology Core Journal. It is included in CAJ (CD), CDDB, VIP, Chaoxing domestically and CA, SCOPUS, JST and other databases internationally.


    1. Publication Scope

      The journal has been dedicated in reporting academic and scientific achievements in the fields including glass, ceramics, cement, concrete, enamel, bulk crystals, building materials, refractory materials, and other new non-metallic materials and frontier science, etc. 


    2. Copyright and Academic Norms

      Authors should have copyrights of their manuscripts and ceramic works (photographs). The journal does not assume any joint and several liability arising from any copyright dispute. Upon submission, it is deemed copyrights have been transferred to the journal in both electronic and printing means. Without specific statement, it is also be deemed that the submissions have been agreed to be quoted or included in various abstracts, publications and relevant databases. 


    3. Paper Requirements

    (1) Title should be concise and accurate with ≤25 words. Abbreviations, chemical symbols, chemical abbreviations should be voided in title. 

    (2) Abstract should be concise and accurate, consisting of objectives, methods, results and conclusions. The length is about 300 words. Keywords are selected to express the main content of the manuscript, with number of 6-8. Abbreviations, chemical symbols, chemical abbreviations should be voided. 

    (3) Arabic numerals are used to number title/subtitles, including 1, 2, 3 (first level); 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 (second); 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 2.1.3 (third); are used in conclusions. Introduction is numbered as 0.  

    (4) Introduction should include the review of the background of this research field, the description of the existing research results, the problems to be solved, and the necessity and innovation of the paper.

    (5) Experiments should introduce conditions, samples, equipment ( calculation method, parameter setting ), analysis methods, etc.

    (6) Results and discussion is the most important part of the paper. The experimental process and results should be objectively described and analyzed by graphs and tables, and related to the previous research purposes or assumptions. Opinions and innovations should also be compared, integrated and systematized with other research results.

    (7) Conclusion should reflect the theoretical value, practical value and application scope of the research results, and put forward suggestions or prospects. 

    (8) Only main references are listed. Unpublished materials should not be used. Chinese references need to give the corresponding English form. Formats of references should be cited according to the national standard (GB/T 7714—2015).

    (9) Figures and tables should be concise and tidy, with captions in both Chinese and English. The text in the figures and tables should be English. Because the journal is not printed in color, color figure should be clear after printing. Photographs should be original image with no less than 300 ppi pixels. Physical names, symbols and units of coordinates must be complete. 


    4. Review and publication cycle

      Editor office adopts a three-step review process based on peer review (preliminary review by an editor, external review by experts, final review by the editor-in-chief and other steps), and review cycle is generally 1-2 months. The period from submission to publication is generally 4-6 months.


    5.Publishing fees and remuneration

      The authors shall pay publication fees to the journal, according to the publisher’s charging standard. After the manuscript is published in the journal, the authors will be paid remuneration according to the publisher’s standard.
