Properties of CaO-B_2O_3-SiO_2 Glass Ceramics Doped with Li_2O

Abstract: The effects of 1.0-2.5wt% Li_2O sintering aid on the properties of CaO-B_2O_3-SiO_2(CBS) glass ceramics were investigated by different analytical techniques such as DTA, XRD, SEM. The results show that Li_2O sintering aid decreases glass transition and crystallization temperatures. The sintering temperatures of CBS glass ceramics doped with Li_2O decrease significantly from 930 ℃ to 820 ℃. Adding with 1.0wt% Li_2O, the sintering temperature of the sample is between 760 ℃ and 820 ℃. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the sample sintered at 800 ℃ are 5.71 and 0.0024 at 10 MHz, respectively.
