Abstract: Researches and applications of rare earth in glass coloring and UV absorption at home and abroad were introduced in this paper.Combination rare earth and transition metal element was used to show better coloring for glass. Mixture of cerium and iron, titanium and other metal was used to develop various anti-UV glasses.
