Abstract: Using high-speed-cut machine for 4 hours and ultrasonic at 100 Hz for 30 minutes to make the minerals symmetrical decentralization into the distillated water is a better method in purification of attapulgite clay. The minerals can be situated in a symmetrical and steady system. Analytic methods such as XRD, FT-IR, SEM and TEM were used in this work. By these ways, the typical characters and structures were well understood. The compare was also discussed among the original, purified and commercial minerals. The result shows that the purified clay has much advanced application value than the others.
