Abstract: Phosphorus slag was modified by ferric salts dipping in order to improve the removing efficiency of As(Ⅲ)in wastewater .The effects of the classes and concentrations of ferric salts ,curing temperature , and curing time in the process of modification on the adsorbing capacity for As (Ⅲ) were investigated by using modified phosphorous slag .The optimal preparation conditions are as follows:0.8 mol/L of FeCl 3 dipping , curing temperature 80℃and curing time 6 h.The methods of BET , SEM and FT-IR were used to analyze the difference of surface structure and adsorption performance of the modified and un -modified phosphorous slag .After modification , the specific surface area of phosphorus slag increased , the content of Fe3+and-OH rised, and the removal rate of As (Ⅲ)in wastewater was improved to 99.1%.The surface of modified phosphorous slag with iron load , and adsorbing capacity for As (Ⅲ) in wastewater increased .
