Abstract: Fly ash-based porous ceramics was prepared by wet ultra-fine grinding and low-temperature calcining process using fly ash as main materials and ultra-fine tourmaline and binding agent as additive. The structure and properties of material were characterized by SEM,XRD,and decolorizing effect of fly ash-based porous ceramics to degrade malachite green (MG) was analyzed by ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer. The results indicated that the materials had fine-uniform pore size and excellent adsorptivity. The addition of ultra-fine tourmaline proviede fly ash-based porous ceramics with degradation capacity, and the decolorizing rate of malachite green aqueous achieved to 89.3%.By means of FT-IR,the changes of the structure of malachite green were studied before and after decolorizing, and decolorizing mechanism of malachite green was also analyzed.
