Abstract: ZrO_2 pipe and SUS316L pipe were fabricated by multi-tape casting on the curved surface of a cylinder using ZrO_2 and SUS316L slurries. Influence of the viscosity of the slurry on thickness uniformity of green sheets was investigated. And then six kinds of slurries were cast on the curved surface in the order that the ZrO_2 content was reduced sequentially. ZrO_2/ SUS316L graded pipe with regular shape was successfully obtained by inducing the residual stress as a result of optimizing shrinkage. The experiment results show that the thickness error was less than ±5% when the viscosities of slurries are range from 1200 to 2000 mPa·s. In order to reduce the residual stress, the binder content should be increased with increasing ZrO_2 content so that the difference of shrinkages is decreased.
