Abstract: In this paper, quantitative analysis of magnesium oxide in cement clinker is introducted briefly, and chemical analysis method and XRD internal standard method were used to determine the content of periclase in cement clinker, and the determined accuracy was evaluated by recovery. The results show that it is feasible to determine periclase in cement clinker using these two methods .The periclase recovery of chemical method is more than 99.40% and the results of chemical method is accordance with that of XRD internal standard method.
